These beautiful earrings have been handmade by the Tuareg community, part of the Berber/ Amazigh nomadic peoples. Amazigh translates to 'free people'.
This style of shape is also known as the Fibula which the Roman's first brought over to Morocco as a type of pin for pinning clothing together. The Berber/Amazigh people's have later added their mark and symbolism. It is known as a symbol of fertility, family and home, warding off the evil eye and welcoming in prosperity.
